New Partnership with Beacon Hill Food Forest
We are beyond excited to announce a partnership between Sunflower Seedlings Preschool and the Beacon Hill Food Forest! Starting this February, we’ll be planting and caring for a children’s garden as part of our regular programming on Mondays and Fridays. This collaboration is a perfect match for our nature-based philosophy, offering little ones the chance to connect with the earth in a hands-on, meaningful way.
What to Expect:
Our food forest days will be Monday and Friday’s where kiddos will dive into:
Gardening Activities: Planting seeds, watering, and caring for our shared garden space.
Wildlife Observation: Exploring the bugs, birds, and other critters that call the garden home.
Hands-On Learning: Understanding how plants grow and why they’re so important to our planet.
Why This Partnership Matters
At Sunflower Seedlings Preschool, we believe in fostering a deep connection to the natural world, and this partnership allows us that opportunity. The Beacon Hill Food Forest provides a learning space where kids can experience the joy of gardening while gaining an appreciation for environmental stewardship. It’s also an opportunity to give back by helping maintain a community resource that benefits everyone.
Join Us in Growing a Love for Nature
This partnership marks a new chapter in our mission to nurture curiosity, creativity, and care for the earth. We’re so grateful to the team at Beacon Hill Food Forest for welcoming us into this space and can’t wait to see the garden grow—just like our little ones!
Stay tuned for updates as our Children’s Garden takes root, and feel free to reach out if you’d like to get involved. Let’s grow together! 🌻
