Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m a nature-loving explorer with a passion for helping children discover the wonders of the natural world. Whether I’m out on a hike, practicing yoga, or spending time with my dogs, I feel most alive when I’m surrounded by nature—overcast days, dirt under my nails, and wind in my hair. I’m also a thrift shop addict who loves finding unique treasures for both my personal adventures and the preschool program.

I admire how children notice the tiniest details—things we adults often overlook. Their curiosity and awe for the small things, like the patterns on a leaf or the sound of raindrops, inspire me every day. I believe in nurturing that sense of wonder and helping kids connect deeply with the world around them through hands-on exploration and play.

Currently, I’m pursuing a bachelor’s in early childhood education to further strengthen my work with young learners. I have years of experience with young children in a variety of preschool settings and am excited to start my newest endeavor at Sunflower Seedlings Preschool as both the program founder and educator.

At Sunflower Seedlings Preschool, my goal is to create a space where children can thrive, grow, and experience the joy of learning in nature.
