  • Pilot Program

    Nature-based, play-focused preschool program for children aged 2.5-5 (younger if accompanied by a caregiver/parent) in Beacon Hill, Seattle. This small-scale program will help refine the curriculum and logistics before the full launch in fall 2025.

    Dates: February – June 2025

    Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

    The pilot program will introduce children to outdoor learning routines, foster curiosity and independence, and support social-emotional development in a mostly outdoor setting.

  • Drop-in Nature Play Days

    A flexible, outdoor-based experience for children aged 2.5-5 (younger if accompanied by a caregiver/parent)to explore, play, and connect with nature in a structured yet child-led environment. These sessions provide families with a chance to experience the preschool’s nature-based approach before committing to the full program.

    Dates: February – June 2025

    Available: Monday-Friday, 9am-1pm

    These sessions are also a great way for families to engage with the Sunflower Seedlings community and experience the benefits of nature-based early education firsthand.

  • Full Launch

    Nature-based, play-centered experience for children ages 2.5 to 5, nestled in Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood.

    Dates: September 2025 – June 2026

    Our days are filled with hands-on exploration, imaginative play, and moments of connection with the natural world. Whether we’re listening to birdsong in the trees or building fairy houses from fallen leaves, each outdoor adventure helps children grow in confidence, wonder, and care for the earth.
