Drop-in Nature Play Days

Because Mud Pies Are More Fun Than Screen Time!

Ever wish your kid had more opportunities to dig in the dirt, chase bugs, and build fairy houses out of sticks?

Join us for Drop-In Nature Play Days at the Beacon Food Forest, where kids ages 2.5 to 5 (or younger with a parent) can explore, play, and tend to our Children’s Garden.

How It Works:

📅 When? Fridays, 9 AM - 1 PM
📍 Where? Beacon Food Forest
💰 Cost? $40 per session (first session is FREE!)
📝 One-time insurance fee? $25
🧥 Gear Library? Yes! Borrow rain gear, boots & layers if needed.
🤝 Stay or Drop Off? Your choice! Parents can stay or drop off their child for an outdoor adventure (2.5+ only).

The Seedling Flow:

9:00–9:15 AM: Drop-off
9:15–9:30 AM: Free exploration, Seedling gathering, and snack time
9:30–11:30 AM: Garden tending, bug tracking, and wild explorations
11:30 AM–12:00 PM: Lunch & story time
12:00–12:45 PM: Small group activity + more free exploration
12:45–12:55 PM: Seedling Send-Off (reflect on the day & share discoveries)
12:55–1:00 PM: Pick-up
