Discover the Joy of Outdoor Learning: Sunflower Seedlings Preschool Pilot Program begins soon!

As February rolls in, something special is taking root in Beacon Hill—our Sunflower Seedlings Preschool Pilot Program! We're thrilled to launch this exciting new venture, designed to connect children with nature and foster a love for learning.

What Is the Pilot Program?

From February to June 2025, our pilot program will provide a glimpse into what makes Sunflower Seedlings Preschool special. Meeting Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 1 PM, we’ll explore the natural beauty of Beacon Hill. We will adventure in the Beacon Hill Food Forest, Tot gym, and other green spaces. Stay tuned for updates!

This nature-based preschool embraces a play-based curriculum, where curiosity leads the way. Our days will be filled with hands-on exploration, storytelling, nature walks, and plenty of opportunities for children to engage with their surroundings.

Why a Pilot Program?

The pilot is our chance to refine our approach while building a community of little learners and their families. It’s also an opportunity for parents to experience the benefits of outdoor education firsthand:

Lifelong Curiosity: Children will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills while fostering a connection with the natural world.
Mind-Body Balance: Outdoor play promotes emotional regulation, mindfulness, and physical activity.
Connection to Nature: By spending time in nature, children cultivate respect for the environment, a value they’ll carry throughout their lives.

What to Expect

Our flexible approach includes themed activities inspired by the seasons and tailored to the children’s interests. With a small educator-to-child ratio (1:5), we prioritize safety, personalized attention, and meaningful connections.
